Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
Effective date: June 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using IntentOne ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
IntentOne is operated by ContextOne, Inc. ("we", "our", "us").
2. Description of Service
IntentOne is a macOS desktop application that assists with communication and relationship management through:
- Voice-to-text transcription (on-device)
- AI-powered text polishing, rewriting, and drafting
- Call recording with on-device transcription and AI-generated summaries
- Importing your message history to build relationship context (on-device)
- Lead research, contact enrichment, and prospecting using public data sources
- A personal contact relationship management system (local storage)
- An AI agent and optional connections to external (MCP) services
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use IntentOne. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
4. Account Registration
- You create an account by signing in with Google OAuth through Supabase
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account
- You must provide accurate information during registration
- One account per person; account sharing is not permitted
5. Free Trial and Plans
- New users receive a 7-day free trial with access to AI features
- No credit card is required to start the trial
- A one-time 1-day extension is available if the trial expires
- Trial duration is tracked server-side and cannot be manipulated
- After the trial, a free tier remains available with limited functionality, or you may subscribe to a paid plan
6. Subscription, Credits, and Billing
IntentOne uses usage-based (credit) billing layered on top of subscription plans:
- Pro — $19/month, includes a monthly allotment of AI usage credits
- Pro+ — $59/month, includes a larger monthly allotment of AI usage credits
AI features consume credits in proportion to their processing cost. Unused monthly credits do not roll over. Billing is handled through Stripe, and subscriptions renew automatically each month unless cancelled.
On-Demand Usage (optional)
- Pro and Pro+ subscribers may opt in to on-demand usage, which lets you continue using AI features after your monthly credits are exhausted
- On-demand usage is billed at cost through Stripe and is off by default — it applies only if you explicitly enable it
- If a payment for on-demand usage fails, on-demand usage is automatically disabled until the payment method is updated
Refund Policy
- Full refund of a subscription payment is available within 30 days of that payment
- Refunds are processed through Stripe
- After a refund, you retain access until the end of the current billing period
- Refund requests can be made through the app or by contacting support
Cancellation
- You can cancel at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal (accessible from the app)
- After cancellation, you retain access until the end of the current billing period
- After the billing period ends, your account enters a 90-day frozen state (data retained, features locked)
- After the 90-day retention window, server-side account data is permanently deleted
7. Call Recording — Your Responsibility
IntentOne lets you record calls. Recording is an opt-in feature you start manually, with a one-time consent acknowledgment.
- Laws governing the recording of calls and conversations vary by jurisdiction. Some jurisdictions require the consent of all parties before a call may be recorded.
- You are solely responsible for knowing and complying with the laws that apply to you, and for obtaining any consent required from other participants before recording.
- We provide the recording tool; we are not responsible for your use of it. You agree to indemnify us against any claims arising from your recording of calls.
8. Importing and Researching Data — Your Responsibility
- When you import message history (e.g., LinkedIn, Telegram, WhatsApp, iMessage), you represent that you have the right to access and use that data.
- When you use lead research, enrichment, or prospecting features, you obtain publicly available information about third parties. You agree to use this information lawfully, to respect the terms of the source platforms, and to comply with applicable data-protection and anti-spam laws.
- You are responsible for how you contact people, including obtaining any consent required and honoring opt-out requests. IntentOne does not send messages on your behalf — all outreach requires you to send it manually.
9. Connecting External Services (MCP)
IntentOne lets you connect external Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers. When you connect a server, your use of it is governed by that third party's terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for external services you choose to connect, the data you send to them, or their availability.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use IntentOne to generate or distribute harmful, illegal, abusive, or deceptive content
- Use IntentOne to send spam or unsolicited bulk messages, or to harass any person
- Record calls or import data in violation of applicable law or the rights of others
- Attempt to circumvent billing, credit limits, trial limits, or authentication mechanisms
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
- Use IntentOne to automate sending messages without human review (all outgoing messages require your review and confirmation)
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Use the Service in violation of any applicable law
11. Intellectual Property
Your Content
- You own your content. Messages you compose, contacts you create, recordings you make, and data you store through IntentOne remain yours.
- We do not claim any ownership or license over your content.
- Your content is not used to train AI models (see our Privacy Policy for details).
Our Service
- IntentOne, its code, design, and branding are owned by us
- These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond the right to use the Service as intended
12. AI-Generated Content
- IntentOne uses Anthropic's Claude AI to polish, draft, summarize, and extract content
- AI-generated suggestions, summaries, and research are provided as drafts — you are responsible for reviewing and approving all content before sending or relying on it
- We do not guarantee that AI-generated content (including call summaries, extracted commitments, and research) will be accurate, complete, appropriate, or free of errors
- You are solely responsible for the messages you choose to send and the actions you take based on AI output
13. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your data. Key points:
- Voice and call transcription is 100% on-device (audio never leaves your Mac)
- We store zero message content, transcripts, or imports on our servers
- Local data (contacts, history, recordings, imports) stays on your device
14. Service Availability
- We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
- The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to factors beyond our control
- Some features (e.g., Push-to-Talk transcription) work fully offline; most AI features require an internet connection
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- IntentOne is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim
- We are not responsible for the content of messages you choose to send, for your recording of calls, or for your import or use of third-party data, even when assisted by AI
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ContextOne, Inc. from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your recording of calls, your import or use of third-party data, or your violation of these Terms.
17. Termination
By You
- You can stop using IntentOne at any time by uninstalling the app
- You can delete your account through the app (Settings → Account)
By Us
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms
- We may terminate the Service with 30 days' notice
- Upon termination, your server-side data will be deleted per our retention policy
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as IntentOne evolves. We will notify users of material changes via the app or email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
